Summer Camp Activities
Junior Camp
During their week of Junior camp, campers are divided into groups with up to 20 campers per group. These groups rotate through the following activities, spending one hour per day at each:
Horses - Campers at any level are given a chance to ride horseback and learn Western horseback riding under CHA standards.
Ropes - Our ropes course includes climbing walls, ziplines, rappelling, ascending and more exciting fun at our high ropes course.
Targets - Targets activities include archery, air soft riflery and may include slingshots, horseshoes or other activities that involve aiming at a target.
Adventures - Campers do activities that focus on survival skills, the environment and outdoor education.
Mystery - This activity is a mystery - indoors or outdoors, dry or wet, we'll let you know that day what is happening.
Teen Camp
During their week of teen camp, campers must choose between the Horsin' Around or Get-A-Grip options. There are limited spots available in the Horsin' Around option.
Horsin' Around
Campers will spend two hours per day with the horses, learning riding, grooming, horse care and horse management. In addition, campers will spend one hour per day at each of Ropes, Adventures and Mystery.
Get-A-Grip
Campers choosing the Get-A-Grip option will spend two hours per day at the ropes course, experiencing the regular ropes course activities as well as learning climbing theory and challenging some of the more extreme obstacles. In addition, campers will spend one hour per day at each of Games, Adventures and Mystery. Get-A-Grip campers will have an option of one trail ride during the week of camp.
